Two New Philip Johnson Glass House films now online

October 23, 2009

Continuing its mission to capture the legacy of Philip Johnson and the essence of his estate, the Glass House organization recently produced two short films as part of its Oral History Project. Frank Stella: Returns to the Glass House tracks the artist as he strolls the grounds sharing snippets of history and his take on Johnson’s creative contribution. Architecture & Influence features interviews with Norman Foster, Michael Graves, Charles Gwathmey, Richard Meier, Jaquelin T. Robertson, Richard Rogers, Vincent J. Scully, Jr. and Robert A.M. Stern. These leading lights share their recollections of and insights into one of the 20th century’s most influential architects, the Glass House and Modernism and more broadly, leadership.
