Website Rising. Your help needed
October 23, 2009
Over the summer and into fall, chapter board members have been working with a web design firm to develop DOCOMOMO New York/Tri-State’s first website. More than static info and nice architectural photography, the site will inform advocacy and documentation activities and provide a wealth of options for participation-from joining a tour to leading one. The back end is done. The design is tight. It’s content time. We are looking to assemble a small team of volunteers to oversee ongoing content creation, editing, posting and updating. We could definitely use individuals with website experience to lead this team, but welcome anyone interested in learning the ropes. The site is built on an intuitive WordPress platform and we’ll provide training. The plan is to convene a general interest meeting mid November to introduce the site and organize the team, followed by a training session shortly thereafter. If you like the sound of this opportunity and you’ve been looking for a way to help DOCOMOMO do more for Modern architecture please come find out more. Send your contact info and level of interest/experience to the email box below and we’ll let you know when we have the kick off meeting scheduled.
