Website devoted to mid-century banks in the US
June 22, 2011
The Recent Past Preservation Network has recently acquired the online database midcenturybanks.com. For those not familiar with it, the site was launched in June 2010 to provide a history of the Bank Building & Equipment Corporation of America, identify its leaders and architects and feature projects that were designed or built by the company. The Jamaica Savings Bank in Queens, NY is a notable local example featured on the site. We should note that this online resource was made possible by the James Marston Fitch Charitable Foundation.
