Final vote held on future of Orange County Government Center
January 12, 2014
With little fanfare, the Orange County legislature agreed to a $67 million renovation plan that includes keeping two sections of Paul Rudolph’s 1967 Government Center in Goshen, NY, and replacing another. After years of heated debate, lawmakers’ 18–2 vote on December 13 signaled that this was the best compromise that could be achieved. Construction work is scheduled to begin in a year.
