NTHP Saving Places website launches with Exploring Modern Architecture feature
October 14, 2015
The National Trust for Historic Preservation has launched a new website, www.savingplaces.org, that provides resources and highlights preservation efforts across the country. Not only is the first image visitors see a Modern site, it is the NYS Pavilion in Queens, which has been the focus of concerted preservation efforts by DOCOMOMO NY/Tri-State and many others. In addition, under the “Discover” tab, there is a Modern architecture feature where readers can find a brief introduction to Modernism as well as read about individual examples of iconic and lesser-known Modern design ranging from Philip Johnson’s Glass House to the vintage motels of Wildwood, NJ.
