NYS Pavilion Ideas Competition: Last call for submissions + Cast your vote
June 25, 2016
The deadline to submit your idea for bringing activity back to Philip Johnson’s iconic yet long-neglected structures from the 1964 World’s Fair is fast approaching. The NYS Pavilion Ideas Competition is open to anyone with an idea for the Pavilion’s reuse and requires only a single 11 x17 sheet describing the concept. The competition website provides a full history of the site plus resources like photos and AutoCAD files to make entering easy. Submissions are due by July 1. So far the competition has garnered hundreds of entries with a mindboggling diversity. You can view them all on the Ideas Competition website where the public can cast “people’s votes” for their favorite entries.
