July 14, 2016
As part of the series “Protecting Natural and Historic Places,” sponsored by the Morris County Trust for Historic Preservation, New Jersey historian and preservationist Carol Barkin will discuss the development of Modern architectural styles and the controversy that often comes with preservation efforts. Barkin will specifically address this history as it relates to suburban New Jersey housing stock, using examples such as Robert Morris Park, a mid-century subdivision in Morristown, NJ, for which Barkin prepared a National Register nomination.
