African Modernism(s): Past/Present/Future

Through two panel discussions this symposium will look at the context for the architecture on view in Architecture of Independence – African Modernism, and the variety of work being produced today in Africa by New York-based architects. The event is organized by the Center for Architecture with the co-directors of Columbia GSAPP’s Global Africa Lab, Mario Gooden and Mabel O. Wilson.
