Preparing a National Register nomination with Kathy Howe

June 7, 2010

There remain many Modern buildings that warrant nominations to the National Register of Historic Places. Learn the ropes of how to prepare nomination submissions so you can be at the ready to help on the next campaign. Kathy Howe is a Historic Preservation Program Analyst in the National Register and Survey Unit of the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. Join other preservationists for an informational session where she will discuss the process of submitting a National Register nomination including the required materials, their format, photographic documentation (which has very specific submission requirements) and the statement of significance. This event is part of the Historic District Council’s Monday Morning Coffee Talk series.
