Visit the Lustron House

Friends of The Lustron House invite you to visit the Lustron House (1950). A Lustron house, invented by industrialist Carl Strandlund (1899–1974), is built using prefabricated enameled steel and were most popular in the 1950s. This Lustron House, the Harold Hess Lustron House, is located in Closter, New Jersey and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 25, 2000. It is owned by the town and managed by the Friends of The Hess Lustron House.
