More Mad Men Modern: Touring Norwalk’s Contemporary Architecture
September 22, 2019
More Mad Men Modern is the ninth annual Living History Tour conducted by the Norwalk Preservation Trust. The tour will give participants an inside look at the Modernist movement in Norwalk, CT, including a house by Edgar Tafel (1912–2011), an associate of Frank Lloyd Wright (1867–1959) who worked on Fallingwater, Wingspread, and other projects. The owners will share some of Tafel’s original drawings. The itinerary will also feature projects designed by Eliot Noyes (1910–1977) and John M. Johansen (1916–2012), members of the "Harvard Five" group of modernist architects. Tour attendees will travel in buses and enjoy a reception at the conclusion of the tour.
