Our first major gala, A Modern Affair, took place May 13th on what turned out to be a fine spring evening. The event celebrated 50 years of Alvar Aalto’s Edgar J. Kaufmann Conference Center, which is normally closed to the public, and brought together over 150 friends of the New York/Tri-State chapter for several fun-filled hours of cocktails and conversation....
