Call for Entries: 2016 Leicester B. Holland Prize, a Single-Sheet Measured Drawing Competition
February 15, 2016
The Holland Prize is an annual competition that recognizes the best single-sheet measured drawing of a historic building, site, or structure prepared by an individual to the standards of the Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS), Historic American Engineering Record (HAER), or the Historic American Landscapes Survey (HALS). The prize is intended to increase awareness, knowledge, and appreciation of historic sites, structures, and landscapes throughout the U.S. There is a $1,000 cash prize and the winning drawing will be published in “Preservation Architect,” the online newsletter of the American Institute of Architects Historic Resources Committee. Entry forms must be submitted by May 31 and completed entries postmarked by June 30. We can think of quite a few Modern sites that would lend themselves to this challenge.
