Tour season opens at James Rose Center
May 29, 2019
The James Rose Center tour season began on May 15 and will be open for tours though October. The current exhibition is “Suburbia Transformed 3.0: Exploring the Aesthetics of Landscape Experience in the Age of Sustainability,” which showcases contemporary residential design. Tours are offered Tuesday through Sunday, 10:00am to 4:00pm, for groups large and small. Advance bookings are available, but not required, through a contact form on the James Rose Center website.
The Center, completed in 1953, served as James C. Rose’s (1913–1991) personal residence in Ridgewood, NJ until his death in 1991. However, before he died he created a foundation to support the conversion of his home into the Center. Today it serves as an establishment for landscape research and design study.
