Gainesville Modern invites enthusiasts to celebrate the ninth year of the Annual Mid-Century Modern Home Tour. Presented by Atlantic Design Homes, Gainesville Modern Weekend 2026 will include three events, opening with the Drinks and Dwellings VIP Cocktail Party on March 20 and the Annual Mid-Century Modern Home Tour on March 21—a self-guided tour of six homes. The weekend will end with theMOD Talks lectures series on Sunday March 22 featuring Dr. Wayne Woods, author, historian and educator also considered the “godfather of preservation in Jacksonville.”

Gainesville Modern started with the dream of preserving the modern architectural heritage of Gainesville before it was altogether forgotten. As the organization has grown that dream has remained constant, and our enjoyment of architecture and community has grown.

Each year the organization sponsors and coordinates multiple education, advocacy, and social events. The most recognized, Modernism Week and Mid-Century Modern Home Tour, gives community members access to Mid-Century Modern homes throughout our area. They believe that the architecture of the Mid-Century period is all around us, and brings value and character to our amazing city. Gainesville Modern is dedicated to protect our Mid-Century Modern structures and provide education about their rich history.
